Looking for something fun to do with your kids this summer?

Remember there is so much to do right in your backyard over the summer with your kids no matter what your budget! Here are just a few ideas…

Spokane’s Riverfront Parkthere is so much to do – Rides, IMAX, Carrousel, or just to go to play in the fountain, the huge Wagon, and the famous Garbage Eating Goat! Plus this year they are showing movies in the park! Go to: beta.spokanecity.org/parksrec/

Vivian Winston Scholarship

This Scholarship was established to assist women students and allow them to improve their lives, the lives of their children and their communities while overcoming the financial challenges of the cost of both tuition and childcare.
The women students must be a continuing or incoming full-time student at Spokane Community College, Spokane Falls Community College or Eastern Washington University. They must also be a resident of Spokane County for the last 12 months and have dependent children requiring childcare. Students must be available to attend the 2014 Women Helping Women Fund Luncheon on May 12, 2014 and provide a short biography for the program. Deadline is March 7th, 2014! West Plains Chamber EWU Scholarship 2014

This scholarship was established to recognize students at EWU who have demonstrated leadership through community involvement and are perusing a Bachelors or Masters degree.  Students must be enrolled and in good standing at EWU, with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Students must also submit a 500 word essay and a minimum of 1 letter of recommendation from a professor, advisor, or supervisor.  The deadline is April 1st, 2014.
